A military officer (US Army, Retired), cleric, sanitarian, and scholar; Monsignor (Dr.) Keith Patrick Steinhurst has multi-disciplinary academic and professional preparation in many content areas including the earned academic degrees of: Doctor of Medicine, Master of Education, Bachelor and Associate of Science; diplomae from various Military Schools (US) and Government Agencies (US); as well as certificates from various Professional and Religious Bodies (US, UK, Canada, and Vatican). Recognized for achievement and meritorious service, his personal awards include: the Meritorious Service Medal (US); the Army Commendation Medal (US); the Medal for Civilian Achievement (US); and the US Army Chemical Corps Regiment's Honorable Order of the Dragon. His service decorations include: the National Defense Service Medal (US, two awards); the Global War on Terrorism Service and Expeditionary Medals (US); the Reserve Forces Service Medal with "M" device for Mobilization (US); and the Army Service Ribbon (US). A practicing Roman Catholic and Cleric-Priest of the Latin Rite (Anglican-Use), he holds the benefice of Honorary Protonotary Apostolic as Chaplain (Anglican-Use) to His Eminence +Angelo Cardinal Sodano; Baron of the Holy See, in right of his father (His Excellency, Nelson Keith, Baron Steinhurst, MD, MPH); Noble and Patrician of Rome as a Gentleman of His Holiness; and the rank of Knight, in the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Sylvester, Pope and Martyr. He holds professional license as a Sanitarian in the State of Texas (US), Physician and Surgeon as a graduate of St. Luke School of Medicine in the Republic of Liberia, and as Cleric-Priest of the Roman Catholic Church. His memberships include: Fellow of the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine; Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity; Beta Beta Beta Society; Solar System Ambassador Program for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory; and the US Army Chemical Corps Regiment. He is married to Her Excellency, Alicia Gabriela, Countess Tomasella, Dame of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Sylvester, Pope and Martyr; and has three daughters, the Ladies: Grace Diana (14), Clara Abigayle (12), and Giovanna Seraphine (11).

Assigned primary responsibility for the development and coordination of all matters pertaining to contingency and operational plans for Public Health Emergency Management. Assigned as Homeland Security Coordinator and Emergency Preparedness Planner. Analyzes directives and guidance for emergency, operational, and mobilization planning. Assists in formulating, developing, coordinating, and publishing current and long range plans. Coordinates the operation of multiple planning cells. Provides information by suitable means and media including, but not limited to, briefings, presentations, formal, and informal reports. Responsible for developing, staffing, and implementing Public Health Emergency Preparedness for the total Army Medical Department and its interaction with other military services, federal, state, and local agencies, in a joint / combined forces environment. Supplies Medical Force Health Protection (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High Explosive Event) subject matter expertise for the US Army Medical Command. Provides annex or input to all Medical Force Health Protection plans or documents. Conducts liaison with supporting Military Intelligence Groups, military, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate the collection, analysis and further dissemination of terrorist related medical intelligence. Establishes a working relationship with the local intelligence community to access information regarding possible terrorist or criminal threats. Collects, evaluates, analyzes, integrates, and interprets all available information that would be perceived as a possible medical threats to personnel and property to include monitoring criminal activity.
